Philippians 1:6 “…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Although captive in prison, Paul is captivated by Jesus, and writes the book of Philippians from this perspective. As Paul begins this letter, we see that he frames his entire life in confidence that no matter what he faces, God has purpose within it. Paul reveals a mindset that as believers we want to take hold of. What we see in these first 11 verses, is that Paul’s confidence in this reality shapes the way he prays for and partners with others, with gratitude and praise for God in the midst of all that comes his way.
