At a critical time in history Jesus pulled his disciples aside to prepare them for his departure. Whatthey had known for the past several years was about to change. No longer would Jesus be with themevery day in person. The thought of Jesus leaving earth terrified the disciples, so Jesus broughtcomfort by showing them the way forward. God’s mission would continue with the disciplesempowered by the Holy Spirit and live on through us. The last few months have many of us asking,“Where do we go from here?” The way forward is truly all about the way of Jesus. His words andactions direct us in the way we will go. The world has changed a lot in the past few months so wewant to be rooted in the unchanging person of Jesus Christ.
