Jesus is talking to his closest followers in the upper room. He knows that later in the evening he is going to be arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane. They are facing a future that will be filled with suffering and struggle. And he doesn’t offer them a lot of reassurance about their remaining days on this earth, instead he reminds them this world is not their home.
