Discovering who we are changes how we live, which means that we are on a life-long journey of becoming who we are. Part of becoming who we are begins with our minds. Studies show that humans have 6000+ thoughts a day- our minds are always going. So, it shouldn’t surprise us when we’ve thought so long one way that we have a difficult time shifting to a new way of thinking. As we grow in our identity, we constantly need to switch our thinking to become more like Christ. Paul’s desire for believers is that we would grow up into maturity in ways that are seen and unseen- but it starts with the unseen, it starts with our minds. As we let the Spirit renew our thoughts and attitudes, we learn more of what it means to live in a way towards ourselves and others that pleases the Lord.
