Cain, the first person ever born, the first child to walk the earth, seems to have blazed the trail of blindspots for all those who would be born after him, even up to this day. His anger was evident as it was fueled by jealousy, pride, and shame. Before he kills his brother, Abel, God warns Cain and points out what he can’t see: “Sin is crouching at your door”. But Cain, blinded to his anger, makes a devastating decision that alters the course of his life, destroys the dynamic of his family, and kindles the fire of violence that is yet to be extinguished.
