Blind spots. They catch you off guard and leaving you wondering “How did that happen?” Often, we can’t see what’s hiding in them until it’s too late. It’s the car that almost takes off your driver’s side mirror as you attempt to merge. It’s the football player who turns their head upfield only to be met by a painful pop from a defender. Blind spots aren’t purely physical phenomena. We have spiritual and emotional blindspots too. The Old Testament tells the stories of people who, like all of us, had some significant blind spots. But what snuck up on them doesn’t have to sneak up on us. In this series, we’re going to peer into the blind spots of several Old Testament figures to discover the sorts of things that may be lurking in the unseen spaces of our hearts.
