In Galatians 6:2, Paul calls believers to “bear” or “carry” one another’s burdens. He gives a reason for the command saying “in doing so you fulfill the law of Christ”. A chapter earlier, we see that this “law of Christ” is to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Through this passage, we’re going to be reminded that true love for our neighbor is more than just a feeling or distant pity, but a relationally-present, burden-bearing action.
