Sitting Target

We are an instant culture. Instant-download, instant savings, instant coffee, instant pots... Instant is
what both catches our eye and makes us an easy target. And Satan knows this, instant knowledge
was at the heart of the fall. So as these hard days grow longer, the temptation for instant pleasure
grows with it. We are tempted to give into whatever fills the void. But God knows that temporary
pleasure is a cheap lure that keeps us from His steadfast, everlasting, never-ending satisfaction. God
knows that the way out of temptation is the way into true living. And this way reveals a faithful God
who makes the most of our time in every season and giving us a life of true purpose and freedom.
