In the parable of the good Samaritan, Jesus gives a teaching that helps us understand the extent to which believers are to love people. His parable helps us understand that one at a time living requires an “out of the way” kind of love. People willing to go the extra mile, not just for those they like and connect to, but even toward the ones who they’d consider their very worst enemy. Jesus teaches His followers to have a extra mile mentality with one person at a time no matter what the cost.
