Practice: Confession
Sin in the dark grows, but sin in the light transforms. Unconfessed sin weighs us down and causes a ripple effect in every area of our lives. In Psalm 32 we see David feeling the weight of his sin growing. He only experiences relief by doing the one thing sin desperately wishes we wouldn’t do: confess. In confession, David did not find judgment, but forgiveness. Not isolation, but relationship. In revealing what was hidden, he found that God was his ultimate hiding place.
